 	<title>Permanent Exhibition: History of Upper Napa Valley from Pre-History to Post-WWI</title>
	<description>
The Sharpsteen Museum&apos;s permanent exhibits present the history of the upper Napa Valley from its pre-history to post World War I with an emphasis on the&amp;amp;nbsp;people and changes brought on through&amp;amp;nbsp;the period of U.S. emigration and development. In addition to its many historical exhibits, the Museum uses unique and extraordinarily extensive dioramas to depict the city of Calistoga during its period as the elegant 1860s hot springs resort established and developed by pioneer, promoter, publisher, entrepreneur, and California&apos;s first millionaire, Sam Brannan.
Special exhibits, which change quarterly, reflect the varied interests of the people of the Valley. Past special exhibits have covered themes&amp;amp;nbsp;ranging from antique silverware to model ships to historical musical instruments.
The Museum was a project of Ben and Bernice Sharpsteen, who retired to a ranch near Calistoga that had been&amp;amp;nbsp;acquired by Ben&apos;s grandmother in the 1800s. Ben was an Academy Award-winning animator, producer and director for Walt Disney Studios, and worked&amp;amp;nbsp;on many famous Disney projects. Memorabilia of his career (including one of his Oscars), his hobby (antique autos) and family history are displayed in the Founder&apos;s Room of the Museum.
In 1978, construction of the museum building and dioramas was&amp;amp;nbsp;completed, and the Sharpsteens donated the entire museum to the City of Calistoga. The museum building adjoins a restored cottage from Brannan&apos;s original hot springs resort. The cottage&amp;amp;nbsp;was moved to this site and incorporated into the museum complex as&amp;amp;nbsp;one of the exhibits.

 	<title>Wine 101 at St. Sup&#xe9;ry</title>
	<description>
We could call this a basic wine 101 tour...But really there is nothing basic about it. We welcome all who wish to expand their knowledge of all that is wine. We start at the beginning with an explanation of where, why and how we plant, grow and harvest our grapes. Then we move onto the winery, following the grape to wine process, from vineyard to the bottle. The tour culminates in a wine tasting of our Napa Valley Estate wines. You get to see how they are made and then taste the final product...not a bad deal at all. Seating is limited; reservations required. http://stsupery.com/events/ Time: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Price: $25 per guest / (20% discount for club members) St. Sup&#xe9;ry Vineyards &amp;amp;amp; Winery 8440 St. Helena Hwy. <title>Napa Valley Wine Train - Murder Mystery Dinner Theater</title>
	<description>
Once a year the world&apos;s greatest detectives gather at the home of Julius Fox in Napa, but this year for the 10th anniversary they are gathering on the Napa Valley Wine Train. They swap stories, brag of their accomplishments and a few, I&apos;m sorry to say, get drunk, engage in affairs, and behave in a most unseemly manner. Last year, Julius Fox wrote down the best of the members&apos; stories and had them published. The book, called “The Detectives&apos; Club,” was an immediate best seller. Under the terms of the contract, any of the eight detectives who are alive at midnight tonight will share in the royalties - $5,000,000. Those who are no longer among the living will receive nothing for their estate.

	<description>
The Wine Country Ukulele Festival, now in its third year, is rapidly becoming the premier ukulele festival in the nation. James Hill is known for pushing the instrument into uncharted territory with genre-bending adaptations of everything from “Oh, Susannah,” to a light-hearted rendition of Michael Jackson&apos;s “Billie Jean.” Joining him on stage that evening include fellow Canadian Ralph Shaw, Queen of the Blues Del Rey, Kimo Hussey and Victoria Vox. &quot;Hill is a serious virtuoso upon the instrument... truly amazing.&quot; - Canadian Folk Music

 	<title>Napa Valley Wine Train - Murder Mystery Dinner Theater</title>
	<description>

 	<title>Napa Valley Wine Train Vintner&apos;s Lunch - Ramian Estate</title>
	<description>
Winemaker Brian Graham crafts the collective story of his vineyards - one chapter at a time. Formally educated about eonology and wine-making at the University of Bordeaux, Brian also worked and was mentored at Chateau Roquefort. He went on to further his studies at the Wine and Spirits Educational Trust in London, after which time he worked for a boutique winery in Burgundy named Domaine Serrigny - Jean-Pierre &amp;amp;amp; Fils in Savigny-Les-Beaune. These two experiences gave him the foundation for creating balanced, terroir-driven wines. Join Brian on board The Napa Valley Wine Train for a memorable afternoon of delicious wine, paired artfully with Executive Chef Kelly Macdonald&apos;s superb cuisine, as you enjoy the fabulous vistas of the Napa Valley glide slowly by.
