 	<title>Permanent Exhibition: History of Upper Napa Valley from Pre-History to Post-WWI</title>
	<description>
The Sharpsteen Museum&apos;s permanent exhibits present the history of the upper Napa Valley from its pre-history to post World War I with an emphasis on the&amp;amp;nbsp;people and changes brought on through&amp;amp;nbsp;the period of U.S. emigration and development. In addition to its many historical exhibits, the Museum uses unique and extraordinarily extensive dioramas to depict the city of Calistoga during its period as the elegant 1860s hot springs resort established and developed by pioneer, promoter, publisher, entrepreneur, and California&apos;s first millionaire, Sam Brannan.
Special exhibits, which change quarterly, reflect the varied interests of the people of the Valley. Past special exhibits have covered themes&amp;amp;nbsp;ranging from antique silverware to model ships to historical musical instruments.
The Museum was a project of Ben and Bernice Sharpsteen, who retired to a ranch near Calistoga that had been&amp;amp;nbsp;acquired by Ben&apos;s grandmother in the 1800s. Ben was an Academy Award-winning animator, producer and director for Walt Disney Studios, and worked&amp;amp;nbsp;on many famous Disney projects. Memorabilia of his career (including one of his Oscars), his hobby (antique autos) and family history are displayed in the Founder&apos;s Room of the Museum.
In 1978, construction of the museum building and dioramas was&amp;amp;nbsp;completed, and the Sharpsteens donated the entire museum to the City of Calistoga. The museum building adjoins a restored cottage from Brannan&apos;s original hot springs resort. The cottage&amp;amp;nbsp;was moved to this site and incorporated into the museum complex as&amp;amp;nbsp;one of the exhibits.

 	<title>Los Lobos with Leo Kottke</title>
	<description>
Over the past 35 years, East L.A.&apos;s five-piece band Los Lobos has assembled a body of work diverse enough to cripple most bands and to captivate fans worldwide. Along the way, they&quot;ve redefined how a rock band - and rock music - can sound. Many musical groups are eclectic, but few are both as unpredictable and successful as Los Lobos. The band has notched a number one single, won three Grammys, and sold millions of records. As an added feature, acoustic guitarist extraordinaire Leo Kottke will bring his innovative fingerpicking style, which draws on influences from blues, jazz, and folk music, and his syncopated, polyphonic melodies to the stage.

 	<title>First Thursday Bring a</title>
	<description>
Back Room Wines hosts a blind wine tasting (i.e. we don&apos;t know what the wine is) where YOU bring the wine! Bring a bottle of wine in a bag so we can&apos;t see it. The wine should be from one varietal OR a classic blend from a known wine region (example, Chateauneuf-du-Pape). Taste the wines that others bring and see how well you can identify the wine. We&apos;ll all try to guess the grape(s), where it&apos;s from and how much it costs. This is a great tasting if you&apos;re a wine student or just curious. Entry fee for two is one bottle of wine. There&apos;s no monetary fee for the blind tasting. Year long &quot;Blind Bottle&quot; contest: Best guessers over the course of the year (12 tastings) win a $100 (1st Place) and $50 (2nd Place) BRW Gift Certificate. Winners bases of percentage of accuracy over all the tastings. Must attend at least six of the tastings to qualify for the prize.

 	<title>Follies du Valle</title>
	<description>
Follies du Valle is a themed, musical extravaganza established in 1997 as a fundraiser for the renovation of the Lincoln Theater. It continues to be produced biannually to raise additional resources for the theater and its programs. Fondly referred to as &quot;Follies&quot; it is truly a community effort that relies on the commitment of more than a hundred volunteers onstage and behind the scenes to produce the show. Follies returns to the Lincoln Theater March 5, 6 and 7, 2010 with a wildly zany production titled Follies du Valle: It&apos;s About Time, featuring musical numbers organized around a theme of time. All proceeds from this production will go directly to scholarships for the 2010 Lincoln Theater Napa Valley Youth Performing Arts Program. At a time when budget cuts are forcing so many schools to eliminate arts education, Follies is proud to offer this opportunity to our local children.

 	<title>Live at Silo&apos;s: Revolver</title>
	<description>
You heard them here in October and December when they performed The Beatles&apos; Rubber Soul album in its entirety to two sold-out, rockin&apos; houses. This time they&apos;re tackling The Beatles&apos; Abbey Road, and it should be the best show yet! Revolver is a trio of seasoned musicians who grew up rocking to the sounds of the 60&apos;s. Inspired by the songwriting and melodic hooks of groups like the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Beau Brummels, Hollies, Kinks, Animals, Lovin&apos; Spoonful and Buffalo Springfield, they took up instruments and formed groups to experience the energy and sensations of playing in a fired-up band. Some of the first tunes they learned were some of these well-crafted gems from artists of the 60&apos;s. Their love and appreciation for that genre of music is why they decided to form the group Revolver in the first place. All three members are singers and multi-instrumentalists, giving Revolver a full and versatile sound including great lead singing, three-part harmonies, and a musical blend of guitars, keyboards, bass, drums and percussion. It&apos;s a big sound for three guys. (Note: For this musically difficult show they&apos;ll be adding two more musicians, guitar and keyboards.) Be sure to reserve early for this show, as Revolver&apos;s shows sell out early!

 	<title>Napa Valley Wine Train Murder Mystery Dinner Theater</title>
	<description>
Once a year the world&apos;s greatest detectives gather at the home of Julius Fox in Napa, but this year for the 10th anniversary they are gathering on the Napa Valley Wine Train. They swap stories, brag of their accomplishments and a few, I&apos;m sorry to say, get drunk, engage in affairs, and behave in a most unseemly manner. Last year, Julius Fox wrote down the best of the members&apos; stories and had them published. The book, called “The Detectives&apos; Club,” was an immediate best seller. Under the terms of the contract, any of the eight detectives who are alive at midnight tonight will share in the royalties - $5,000,000. Those who are no longer among the living will receive nothing for their estate.

Three extraordinary voices, two founding singer-songwriters, one singular vision: The Wailin&apos; Jennys continue to evolve into far more than the melodious sum of their individual talents five years after blowing in on a fresh acoustic breeze from Canada&quot;s mid-western heartland.&amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;nbsp;&amp;amp;nbsp; Back by popular demand, the Wailin&apos; Jennys have toured three continents, and are enjoying burgeoning international acclaim and a rapidly growing fan base. <title>Pocket Opera: La Cenerentola (Cinderella)</title>
	<description>
Vain, foolish, extravagant Don Magnifico, having squandered the family fortune, lives in a rundown palace, a shadow of its former splendor, with his two daughters in whom he places great hope. Marry either one of them to a rich man and all will be well. Gorgeous to look at, their beauty unfortunately does not go deep. According to a keen observer, in his words, they are &quot;hard as nails, cold as ice, silly, shallow, vain and vicious - otherwise they&apos;re very nice.&quot; Oh, yes, there is also a third daughter (a step-daughter, they would be quick to point out) nick-named Cinderella. Needless to say, she is vastly inferior to her half-sisters. Where is the style, the flair? Useful as a servant, as someone to call upon to humor their slightest whims, she is otherwise disdained, neglected and kept in rags. Despite the daily dose of condescension that she is forced to swallow, she has retained a marvelously sweet, unassuming, unresentful, loving nature. It so happens that a handsome young prince, after years of extensive travel, has just returned home to his palace to settle down and search for a bride. In order to inspect the available ladies, he announces a magnificent ball. This throws the two pampered daughters into a fever of excitement and anticipation, each confident of emerging the winner. Despite her pleas, Cinderella is not allowed to attend. Nonetheless, to the amazement of all and the consternation of some, she shows up anonymously, an apparent stranger, unrecognizable in her sumptuous attire, provided by the prince&apos;s wise and kindly old tutor (and something of a magician) who has recognized the modest girl&apos;s true merits. Far be it from us to spoil things by giving away the ending.

 	<title>Live at Silo&apos;s: Sean Garvey</title>
	<description>
Sean Garvey&apos;s music recalls an old radio sound of blues and country, capturing a lost world of a less homogenized America. His songs are iconic, full of characters both romantic and despairing, longing for what is real. The son of a farmer, Sean writes with an authentic voice. California Parable, Garvey&apos;s newly released record, is haunting and intimate. Recorded on a vintage 16 track tape machine at Wow and Flutter in east Nashville, producers Kevin Gordon and Joe McMahan helped Garvey achieve an unrelenting “sense of place.” The 10 original songs combine heartbreaking melodies with strikingly poetic language.

The Capitol Steps return to the Opera House for another rousing night of hilarity. The group began as Senate staffers who set out to satirize the very people and places that employed them. In the years that followed, many of the Steps ignored the conventional wisdom (&quot;Don&apos;t quit your day job!”), and although not all of the current members of the Steps are former Capitol Hill staffers, taken together the performers have worked in a total of 18 Congressional offices and represent 62 years of collective House and Senate staff experience. Since they began, the Capitol Steps have recorded 29 albums, including their latest, Obama Mia! They&quot;ve been featured on NBC, CBS, ABC, and PBS, and can be heard four times a year on National Public Radio stations nationwide during their Politics Takes a Holiday radio specials.

A seminal figure in the history of American music, Bill Medley is best known as half of the unmistakable duo, The Righteous Brothers. Their raw emotional rhythm and blues sound of the mid-&apos;60s became a radio fixture with hits such as &quot;You&apos;ve Lost That Lovin&quot; Feelin&apos;,” “Just Once in My Life,” “Unchained Melody” and “(You&apos;re My) Soul and Inspiration.” Medley is now a solo artist following the unexpected passing of Righteous Brother Bobby Hatfield. The music that accompanies the magical metamorphosis could only come from Kith &amp;amp;amp; Kith, the Valley&apos;s own traditional Irish band that&apos;s a St. Patrick&apos;s Day tradition. Celebrate the day everyone is Irish with lyrical ballads and rousing reels. Dance a jig and share Hibernian hilarity with this multi-talented group. <title>Jake Shimabukuro</title>
	<description>
Though some still have trouble pronouncing his last name and the instrument he plays, Jake Shimabukuro (she-ma-BOO-koo-row) is recognized as one of the world&apos;s most exciting and innovative ukulele players and composers.Renowned for lightning-fast fingers and revolutionary playing techniques, Jake views the ukulele as an &quot;untapped source of music with unlimited potential.” His virtuosity defies label or category.Playing jazz, blues, funk, classical, bluegrass, folk, flamenco, and rock, Jake&quot;s mission is to show everyone that the ukulele is capable of so much more than the traditional Hawaiian music many associate it with. The Opera House is proud to welcome Jake back for his third appearance!“Shimabukuro is a monster musician and boldly takes the ukulele where no ukulele has ever gone before, dazzling listeners with his blinding speed, melodic invention, and open-ended improvisationsof remarkable virtuosity.” -allmusic

 	<title>Live at Silo&apos;s: Wesla Whitfield and The Mike Greensill Trio</title>
	<description>
&quot;Whitfield&apos;s sense of phrasing a lyric or a melody is often unconventional, with a surprising little pause just when you don&apos;t expect it. She has a cunning way of reinventing a ballad with torchy finesse, and it&apos;s akin to hearing them for the first time.&quot; -- Variety

 	<title>Napa Valley Wine Train Murder Mystery Dinner Theater</title>
	<description>
